Meet Judith

I was brought up in the Baptist Church in the Southern United States. Our faith was very prominent within our family. Our lives centered on the church and the colored schools for you see prior to 1967, we attended segregated schools within our small town. We were descendants of slaves within the Unites States of America.

My maternal great grandparents may have been slaves on plantations in South Carolina and later traveled to Georgia with someone who was listed as a slave trader within the Federal Census records. My paternal Great-great grandfather and great-great grand mother were slaves on two different plantations in Burgaw, North Carolina.

While growing up we were always admonished to strive for excellence and reach for the stars.

Formal education was thought of as a way forward. I was exposed to amazing things now that I look back on my journey through life.

I completed college and got married but I was always looking for the answer to the question that I asked as a small child: “Where was I before I was born?”

My entire life seems to be heading towards answering that question.

In 1990, I made my first trip to Israel and this trip changed my life. I had a desire to know more about Israel and the people and to study Hebrew. I wrote a book about my first trip to Israel, “Home, a journal of a first trip to Eretz Yisrael.

I began to study Hebrew in 1993 and continue until this day. In 2006 I spent a month in Israel studying Hebrew. The mathematical nature of the language seems to be very soothing and makes sense to me about why we are here on this planet. Studying Hebrew and visiting Israel answered the question for me: “Where was I before I was born?

In 2006, I was privileged to accompany the President of the Trinity Care Ministries, Inc. on a mission trip to Nigeria. This trip placed many more things into perspective. It was a journey to see another part of my roots and to be about the business of ministering to mankind by delivering encouragement and supplies to those who as the people stated, had only the G=d of Israel to depend upon and His Messiah Yeshua/Jesus.  It is I who was ministered to.

Luke 2:48-49 King James Version

48 And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing.
49 And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father’s business?
The answer to the question that I posed to my parents:
— Luke 2:48-4 King James Version

Where was I before I was born?” can be found by engaging in the business of the One who sent me.

I am headed for new adventures. I continue to “shoot for the moon. Even if I miss, I will land among the stars”. (Norman Vincent Peale)
